Missy was enjoying having the cat tree all to herself this afternoon. She was rolling around in the little cubby having a grand old time. When Missy noticed me she reached out a paw to draw me over to give her some pets. I left Missy to curl up in the cat tree cubby and went to say hello to Gizmo. He was hanging out on the shelf in his cubby and was happy to have his chin and ears scratched. Ekkaia and Fawkes were in different parts of their cubby. Ekkaia was pretty happy to see me and was eager to get some pets and love. Fawkes was a little shy at first but he was still happy to receive some love and cuddles.
Groups
Max got some new friends today, Rosie and Ivy, and they walked together this morning. Max was so excited to get outside to see them again when group time rolled around. It wasn't long before he and Rosie were wrestling and having a great time. After a little while Max left Rosie to go and see what Ivy was up to and see if maybe she wanted to play too. She was busy, though and Max was happy to go back to wrestling with Rosie. We then went out to the agility yard where Rosie and Max then switched to racing around instead of wrestling.
Next up was a slightly calmer group. Tanner set out to do a little exploring right off the bat. When he noticed that I was close by, he stopped to come over for a visit. Off in the far corner of the yard Lobo, Finnigan, and Merida had their heads together to check out a particularly interesting section of rocks. Kimi was off in another part of the yard doing some exploring as well. Sadie and Sasha were the only ones who wanted to start their day with some more physical fun. They met up with one another where they then gave each other a pretty thorough once over. When they were ready, Sadie and Sasha started to bounce around, which then turned into wrestling with some running thrown in. They eventually caught Finnigan's eye and he went racing off after them wanting to play. Along the way he was distracted by the attention Tanner was getting from Syarah. Finnigan switched directions and went to get love instead. Merida and Saide made their way over to Syarah as well, while Finnigan wandered off to do some exploring. When they had had enough pets, Sadie and Merida took a stroll around the yard to go do some exploring together. When Sadie finished with her section she headed on to another where she met up with Kimi. The two said their hellos and Sadie was nice enough to give Kimi a couple kisses. Kimi then decided to tag along with Sadie and Merida as they patrolled the yard. She didn't' stay for too long and instead went to go and see what Lobo was up to. Next it was Lobo who made his way out to see what Sadie, Finnigan and Merida were looking at. Tanner eventually had enough pets and went wandering off to see what the others were up to as well. Shortly after, we decided to make our way out to the other yards. Sadie, Lobo, and Kimi were happy to check around a new part of the yard. Finnigan had a bit more energy and took off around the yard. Tanner decided he need more pets and made his way back to Syarah. Sadie and Lobo were satisfied with their findings around the yard, and met up and stood staring at each other. They then started to bounce around and have some fun. Sadie then went tearing off to see what Finngan was looking at. Kimi was next to make her way over to Finnigan who had found himself a toy and was proud to show it off.
The group of small dogs was up next for group time. They all met up to say their hellos before they split up to do their own thing. Toby approached Brodie and asked him to play. Brodie was happy to agree and soon they were having fun. Cara likes to keep an eye on Brodie's activities and headed over to watch Brodie and Toby play. She hopped around Brodie and Toby as they shuffled around the yard, singing her referee song as they went. Emma, Benji, Maya, and Rocky were off doing some exploring in the snow and ice. Maya noticed Mac who was checking out all the newly revealed grass across the yard and went over to join him. The group eventually decided to make their way out to the far yard, except for Rocky, who decided to stay with Julie and do some exploring in the grass. Once we made our way out, Benji headed over to have a visit with me. After Benji was finished snuggling with me, I went to see what Emma was up to. After I had given her some pets she moved on to see what Mac was up to over by the rocks and the exposed grass. I tagged along and Emma and Mac seemed very excited that there was more grass to sniff. Emma started kicking her back feet out, which led to hopping around Mac, who was still exploring. Maya noticed that Emma was ready to play and rushed over to join her. The girls did some wrestling and bouncing together for a little while. Further down the fence, Toby was enjoying rooting in the snow, looking for exciting things. Meanwhile, Cara had planted herself in the centre of the yard and was keeping an eye on what everyone was up to, while also occasionally adding her own commentary. She then spotted Benji, who was trying to get Tank to play. Cara quickly decided that she would like to play with Benji so she went trotting over and hopped up onto Benji's back. Maya hopped away from Emma for a moment to give her two cents on Cara and Benji's wrestling match, but went straight back to Emma.
The next group was ready to play right from the get go. Clifford was quick to start play bowing and bouncing around, asking Sammy to play with him. Kesler didn't want to miss out on the fun went running up to see about joining in. Sammy ended up leaving them to go off and do some exploring with some of the other dogs, leaving Clifford and Kesler to continue playing. Eventually they took a break and went running out to see what Glenda Lou, Gryphon, Timber and Sammy were all looking at in the far corner. One by one, the explorers wandered off to different parts of the yard. Glenda Lou went racing around with Gryphon in tow. Gryphon stopped, though, when he saw a bone in the yard that he couldn't resist digging up. Gryphon laid down in the snow to chew on the bone, while Glenda Lou continued her rounds. When she was finished, Glenda Lou came to see me for a visit. She loves to get pets and scratches. Afterwards Glenda Lou was happy to go back to racing around. Gryphon had left his bone and started to play with Oban. Glenda Lou saw her brother and Oban and couldn't resist joining in the fun as well. Clifford was happy that the others were busy, since the bone Gryphon found was now unattended. Gryphon was excited to play with Oban and the feeling was definitely mutual. Timber saw the fun they were having and went trotting after them to see about joining in. Soon the three of them were enjoying trotting around the yard together, though it soon turned back into playing. Oban and Gryphon spotted Clifford and the bone while Timber branched off and came over to say hi to me. Clifford and Oban met up with Sammy and the bunch started bouncing around, each wanting to snatch the bone from one another. Clifford held onto it, though, and took it out to the other yard to chew. Sammy tagged along while Oban, Gryphon went back to playing with Timber. Oban, Gryphon and Timber made their way over to Clifford together and met up with the others along the way. Kesler was curious as to what was going on and went trotting over to join the group as well. Glenda Lou decided to make her way out to the main yard while Gryphon and the rest of the group decided to follow her out. Glenda Lou decided now as the time to play and went racing over to grab her brothers leg. Clifford didn't want to miss out on the fun and tried to join in. Gryphon and Glenda were very busy together, though, so Clifford went to play with Sammy and Kesler. Glenda Lou ran past like a flash of light and Clifford, Sammy and Kesler all took off after her with Timber following along behind.
The last group of the morning was full of beans and very much toy oriented dogs. As soon as we got out the door, Chloe headed out and found herself a toy. Molly set out in search of her own toy while Jack left his sister to it and went to see what Koda was up to. Molly soon found a toy and had Jack back at her side and they, of course, wanted to play fetch. Chloe looked like she wanted to play as well, but didn't want to give up her toy so she continued to carry it around as she went about her business. We needed a little more room to run, so I led the dogs out to the agility yard. Cooper, Maggie, and Zoe were already out there and Zoe came trotting out to greet us at the gate. Cooper and Maggie weren't too far behind and they were excited to see their friends. Cooper went straight to Koda, and the boys stood still for a moment before bouncing around and goofing off. Maggie had gone back to exploring, but then decided to go and join in with Koda and Cooper. Eventually they needed a break, so they split up and set off to check out the yard. Zoe spent her time going from dog to dog seeing what everyone was up to. Jack and Molly were quick to demand that the game of fetch resume and this time Chloe dropped her toy to join in the fun. Koda made his way over wondering what everyone was so excited about. He then spent some time checking Chloe and Jack over before heading across the yard to do some exploring. Maggie did the opposite and left her exploring to go and join in the fun. Not too long after, Maggie threw herself to the ground to have a good roll in the snow. This caught Koda's eye and soon they were playing. Cooper was still off going around the yard with his nose to the ground. Zoe towards the end of the group finally decided it was time to start racing around and did just that.
