Maddie was happy to say hello to everyone right as she got
out of her kennel to go outside for her group this morning. She had so much
energy right from the start and it was rubbing off on all the dogs that were
around her. When she got outside she ran straight to the further yard and
started to bounce around all of the dogs, she even hopped right over Teddy when
she was running! Teddy didn’t even notice because it happened so quickly and he
just continued to trot along. The puppies were very interested in Maddie and the
followed her around wherever she went, she would keep looking back and jumping
in front of them and they were so entertained as she was doing this. It made
them want to chase her more! Teddy followed Maddie into the yard when he got
outside and he was all bundled up in his parka to keep warm from the cold air. He
made sure to stay by Maddie when he was outside but when she went into the tall
snow, Teddy had to turn around because he just sunk right in. He seemed to get
chilly after being in the deeper snow, so I scooped him up to snuggle and warm up. When he was ready, Teddy went back and explored the yard a little bit further and socialized with anyone who crossed his trail. Teddy had some fun in the playroom when we went back inside, and was happy to snuggle back up in his kennel a little bit later on.
Benji wasn’t as playful today as he usually is, at first he
headed straight to the further yard near the fence andstarted sniffing around
with his nose in the snow. His nose led him right to the agility tunnel where
he was sniffing around it in circles as one of the puppies were following him.
His energy started to pick up when they were near him and he started running
through the tunnel to see if they’d chase him, but they just popped there head
in and looked around but didn’t go through. Benji then ran to the other side of
the yard where he could sniff around some more before heading inside.
Oliver is usually very independent outside but today he and
one of his other friends in his group were together the entire time. They didn’t
even leave each other’s sides and he followed Oliver everywhere he went in the
yard, and even though they weren’t playing it’s good to have a buddy to hang
around with. Olive loved to explore and he had his nose in the snow everywhere
he’d walk, I don’t think it was because he wanted to find things buried in the
snow though, he just likes to eat it. He was munching on the snow the entire
time he was wondering around.
Chloe was very hyper just like usual today. She didn't even seem to pay attention to the other dogs in her group since she was focused on finding a toy to run around with. Chloe found a rubber bone as soon as she set foot outside
and made sure to run by me and the others to show it off. I tried to grab it
from her to toss but she’s so fast that she kept on running away from me! She was always ready to duck around another dog who seemed interested in her toy, and she loved the excitement. She put the bone down eventually and
began to kick it around in the snow, when she was doing this I quickly picked
it up and she waited eagerly for me to throw it across the yard. I threw it and that was
the only time because after that I could not manage to grab the toy from her
again!
Boomer and Forest always waiting and ready in their kennels and whenever
they get outside they love to roam at their own pace. They were both wandering around for
a bit at the beginning, checking everything out before Forrest ran over to me
for cuddles. He’s so cute when he wants attention, he runs over with the
biggest smile on his face and puts his head right up to yours when you’re
kneeling down for it to be pet. Right when Forrest walked over, Boomer saw and
quickly came to me as well with the same smile on his face. They have the most adorable, fluffy faces! After they had
enough of the cuddles Forrest ran straight into the yard where one of the other
dogs started to bounce around him. This got Forrest excited and it turned into a
game of tag which Boomer joined in right away. Boomer and Forrest spent the majority of the rest of their group time playing with their new friend. Boomer stopped running shortly
after and decided to stay near Forrest and watch instead of using up
all his energy, but Forrest was all in to continue the play.
Naughty loves attention whenever she goes outside to play. Today
she ran out and did her own thing in the yard to start things off. A moment later though, she began to run around on her
own and then she would jump right into the fluffy snow where she started to
roll around endlessly until her whole body was white! When she stood up
her whole coat was covered in snow and she had a little pile of snow on top of her nose
from digging. Naughty was happy to jump around, digging along the fence and anywhere that her nose led her. She loves the snow so much and finding toys buried makes it even better! Naughty spent the remainder of her group time hopping around in the yard with her friend Brooke.
Brooke is always so excited to be outside with everyone and
had a blast today like always. She had so much energy right when she got
outside and wasn’t afraid to use it! She began to run around all the dogs
before her attention was set on Naughty. When she saw her rolling around in the
snow, Brooke ran up and started to bounce around her to get her attention so they
could play together, but Naughty was very focused on rubbing her back in the snow. Brooke waited in a play-bow position for Naughty to jump up and join her. Naughty loved the attention and Brooke was happy to find a play partner. They began wrestling with Naughty on the ground for a bit
before Brooke needed a quick break. She ran up to me for some cuddles, and her whole body wiggled the while time!
Cooper kept things casual today and went off on his own
to have his own adventures in the yard. He loved to explore and circled the
yard a few times with his nose to the ground, smelling everything. He wasn’t
paying attention to the others in his group until he saw Naughty and Brooke
wrestling in the snow. That’s when the Playful Cooper came out to play and he ran
right over to his friends. He started teasing Naughty as she was rolling around until
she stood up to chase him, while Brooke trotted right behind her and the three of
them were running and tackling each other at the same time. Cooper had so much fun running around with the other dogs in his group and sure keeps them on their toes!
Ghira is such a sweet girl and she’s always a pleasure to have around, she just sits right beside you and waits for you to give her
cuddles. She loves to come up to you and say hi when were outside, she ran up
to me at least three times this morning to greet me over again. Outside she was
following Tara around the yard, following along and sniffing behind her. Every time
Tara would turn around, Ghira would stand up straight as if she wasn’t doing
anything, then Tara would continue on walking and Ghira would follow her again.
It was so funny to watch, and eventually Tara turned around fast enough and the girls pounced playfully to each other. Tara was very excited when she was outside in the yard and was curious about
everything she saw. She would run up to everything and give it a sniff before
running around again until she found something else she thought was cool. She
ran to me outside for cuddles to warm up since it was so chilly, and as I was
petting her, Ghira came up to get some attention too!
Max is just the biggest ball of energy I know. When he’s
outside in the yard he gives it his all and when he’s running you can feel it in the air as he zooms past. During his group time today, Max was
trying to get all the dogs to play with him and ran around them in circles
until one would come up to him. Immediately Tasha ran up behind him and pounced
on his back to show him that she was ready to start the game of tag that he was waiting for. When Tasha landed back on the ground after jumping on him she ran as fast
as she could to the other side of the yard where Max followed her as fast as he
could. He caught up to her in no time and they had a face off where they met,
they both play bowed to each other until Max took off back to the other side of
the yard where Tasha ran like lightning after him.
Tsavo was such a cute girl in the yard, she seemed a little
shy at first and kept to herslef but when I called her over to me to say hi, she
walked slowly over and bent her head down for me to pet it. When I was done she
took off into the yard where Max and Tasha were playing to join right in with
them. Max was on the ground when all the dogs were crowded around him and Tsavo liked to run around them in circles really fast so that they’re
attention would turn right on her instead. She then ran right behind Tayler as
the dogs were coming up to him to say hello and hid behind her legs for
protection.
Sally and Glo were very eager to start their day this morning when they were going out for their walk. Right as we started walking on the path they realized that they might have a hard time running due to how much snow there was, but never the less they tried anyways, and near the end of the of the walk they both slowed down to pick the snow out of their toes. During groups in the yard, Sally kept to herself mostly and only went up to dogs when she wanted to smell them and say hello. But Glo was super playful right from the beginning and she didn't stop running the entire time she was outside, and by the time she came back in she was all tired out. She played with Percy for the most of her time outside but at the same time she would keep running up to other dogs and play with them for a while then go back to playing with Percy.
Percy is always one of the most playful ones in the group when they're outside. He was very social today and made sure to say hi to everybody, including me! In the midst of playing Percy ran up to me to show me the rubber bone that he found on the ground as he was running around. I tried to snag it from him to throw and start a game of fetch but Percy wasn't liking that idea and wanted to keep the bone all to himself. When his attention was focused on playing again and left his bone with another dog he came up to me again and went right through my legs then stopped; someone definitely wanted their back scratched!
Baxter has such an outgoing personality that really stands out with the other dogs. He's always hyper and never fails to entertain you when you're watching him run around in the yard. When I got outside today he came running up to me and started to bounce up and steal my mitten right out of my hand! I ran around after Baxter and he had so much fun running around the yard and teasing me with my mitten in his mouth! He picked up a rubber bone right away and ran around with it in his mouth for a bit before dropping it to play with one of the dogs. I picked it up and threw it for him to catch and although he didn't catch it, he had lots of fun being part of the chase.
Teddy loves to watch dogs play and whenever he gets outside he's always with everyone but likes to hang around the outside of the wrestling matches. When he got outside today he started to work off some of his energy right away and began to run around from one side of the yard to the other. He made sure to go up to each dog and circle around them in the snow so they know that he was there. As the others were playing he would run up and bark at them until they would start to run again then he would bounce around with them. When Boris started to run past him Teddy seemed interested and started to chase him. Boris is always up for a good game of tag and they chased each other around the yard a few times before Boris saw Percy wrestling with another dog and he went to check it out. He ran over and pounded on Percy in the snow and Percy hopped right up and started to run in the opposite direction, as Boris followed with excitement. When Boris was done playing tag near the end of his group time he found a nice spot of fluffy snow and layed there until it was time to go back inside.
Hazel and Cai were the two calm dogs in a group full of hyper dogs that love to play. They both kept to themselves outside today and Hazel took off into the further yard and started to sniff around in the snow. I walked up to see what she was doing and she kept on moving the snow around with her paw as she was eating it. She loved to eat the snow and every time I looked at her, her mouth was chomping down on it. When she finished her snow snack she began to wander around more and made her way to the play structure where she peeked her head in before walking inside of it to check it out. Cai didn't go so far outside, instead he wondered around by the door watching all the dogs play from a distance. Every time I went to see him he would bolt off into the other direction then continue what he was doing. While he was exploring, Percy ran up to Cai and started to bounce around him to see if he wanted to play, and Cai was interested but not sold just yet. Percy bounced around him and Cai made his way to the other side of the yard and Percy followed to keep him company.
Sadie spent her day in the playroom with max like usual when they come in for day care. Sadie has so much energy and always needs to let it out, so when it's time for her to go out with her group in the yard she doesn't hold back one bit! She loves attention and right as she got outside she ran as fast as lightning to the other side of yard where she got all the dogs to chase her around. Sade's hyper energy wears off on the other dogs and I feel like they get more playful when they see her play. Storm was especially loving Sadie today and when he saw how playful she was with the others he couldn't help but to join in! He ran right up to her as she was rolling in the snow and pounced right on top and started wrestling with her. All the other dogs crowded around to watch. When storm got up he started to bark at her until she started to run away and that's when he chased her as fast as he could to the other side of the yard.
Aura is such a sweet girl, when she went out with her group today she went off on her own in the beginning and wandered around the yard. She was sniffing along the fence as the others were playing, but when they all ran past her she got intrigued and her head popped right up to watch them. When Sadie ran by her again she started to chase after her with the others. When Sadie laid down to get some rest she ran over to Maverick to say hello. Maverick and Aura were inseparable out in the yard and wherever one went the other would follow. Maverick's playful energy made Aura even more playful than she already was. Maverick would tease Aura and run away from her then turn right around when she caught up and then bow down playfully. He did it to show her that she was about to take off and run again. When I went up to them Maverick ran behind me and poked his head through my legs for me to pet him and it was very cute!
Shyla took it easy during group time today. She kept to herself more than anyone else in the group but still socialized and participated with them. At first she wandered around and would go up to every dog to sniff them then when they turned to face her she would hop away to walk around some more. When all the dogs were playing tag Shyla liked to follow slowly behind them as they ran but whenever they stopped to wrestle she backed away just to watch instead of joining in. She came up to me as I was taking photos of her and leaned her head into my stomach for cuddles, I was petting her for a little but before she saw something interesting and took off to look at it.
