Gizmo has really found his new favourite spot. The last few days when I've gone to visit he's been hanging out in the empty litterbox on top of the cabinet. Gizmo will great you when you come in then nestles back down to just watch. Bengal was in her cubby when I entered the room. As soon as she realized I was there she came running out to say hello. Partway to the door Bengal paused to have a good stretch. When she was ready, Bengal ran out to greet me and rubbed herself on my legs, waiting for some love.
Groups
Coco and Timbits got to go out and play with the puppies today. When they first got outside they only had eyes for each other and started to wrestle and run around. Soon Coco and Timbits had some puppies trying to join in to the fun. After a little more playing it was time to do a little investigating in the snow. It wasn't long before Timbits was back to playing with the puppies. Coco was happy to continue trying to find something in the snow.
Next up we had the rest of the small dogs. Benji and Ghira were quick to start racing around together, but as soon as they noticed Pepper, the new addition, they stopped to go and say hello. With the intros done Ghira and Benji decided to head off and do a little exploring. Ghira soon switched her attention back to Pepper. She went bouncing up and asked Pepper to play. It wasn't long before the two of them were having fun. Benji abandoned his explorations to go and see about joining in. They all ran around for a while in the main yard before everyone ventured out to the far yard. Once out there, everyone was more interested in exploring than playing. Benji took a break from exploring headed over my way for some pets and attention to finish off group time.
The next group had a whole bunch of fun. Brooke was so happy to get outside. She came bouncing up to my side and gave me a big smile. Naughty was quick to start booking it around the yard with Guiness while Finnigan found himself being chased by Chloe. Brooke left my side to go and see what the others were up to and see about maybe joining in. Naughty, mid stride, threw herself to the ground to have a quick roll in the snow. That apparently looked like a good idea to Chloe as she soon went and dive-bombed the snow too. Naughty went running off to resume playing with Guinness who was wandering on the other side of the yard. She then switched to playing with Finnigan. Finnigan and Naughty then had a great time wrestling in the snow. Chloe went running over to see Finnigan again so Brooke went to wrestle with Naughty in the snow before heading in to the playroom.
We had a whole bunch of huskies in the next group, plus a generous helping of goldens. The group made their way out to the agility yard to start things off. Once there everyone sort just started to run around willy nilly. Boris was a little more focused and was off like a flash after Justice. Tasha was probably the only one standing still since she was more interested in finding something in the snow. Boris paused a moment as he went running by to check on his mom. Hazel came bouncing her way over to me. After a quick visit she went tearing off after Magic. She was then distracted by all the snow and had to go bounce around in it. In the far part of the yard Sally had taken a little break from running to see what Merida was up to. After their greetings, Sally started to run around the yard once again. The group then decided to make their way out of the agility yard. Glo and Sally met up to go do some exploring together, while Boris and Justice continued to play and wrestle with Magic tagging along. Tasha started to explore around again, but soon couldn't resist all of the action and went racing to join Boris, Justice, and Magic. Shorlty after, Glo left Sally because she too couldn't resist all the fun that was going on. She had a blast jumping around with all of her husky friends and Merida came over to join in as well Sally went trotting out to the main yard where all the fun was going on. She took one look at the crazy antics and then decided to throw herself to the ground for a good roll in the snow. This caught Glo's attention and she went to get her sister to wrestle with her. They wrestled for while having a great time, but when the huskies started racing around again Glo was there ready to run. Hazel decided to join us in the far yard as well. She went to go running after everyone, but she then decided that she'd have more fun rolling in the snow.
Chloe was quick to find herself a toy and just as quick to go racing off with it and show it around. Boomer, Forrest, and Oliver set off to do some exploring but Forrest stopped to come and say hello to me. He we soon back with his brother with his nose to the ground. After a little while they met up with Bruiser and the three of boys started to race around together. When everyone had seen all they wanted to of the main and far yards, we decide to head out to the agility yard. Boomer, Forrest, and Oliver set off to do some exploring once more, only this time they all did it together. Chloe brought her toy along to the new yard and continued to run around with it. Oliver soon left Boomer and Forrest to set out on his own adventure. He ended up making his way over to where Chloe was now playing with her toy in the snow. Boomer was next to head out on his own. He seemed determined to see everything he could. Forrest watched Boomer and went to go after his brother when he noticed Summit. It was an instant connection and soon the two of them were bouncing around. Shortly after that they were ripping around the yard. They played for quite awhile until Forrest left Summit to go and check on his brother. Not too long after Chloe found herself with Bruiser on her nub. They went racing around the yard and he tried to get the toy from her. Chloe was quite determined to keep it and in the end she was successful. Oliver paused in his explorations to watch Chloe as she went racing by with Bruiser on her heels. He then decided to not join and continue on exploring. After a little while Boomer and Forrest took Bruiser off of Chloe's paws. They both decided that they quite wanted to play with him and so they did just that.
The second last group of the morning started out a little quieter. Everyone wanted to head out and do a some exploring in the snow. Sadie then met up with Dexter and soon they were racing around. It wasn't long before they caught Storm and Shyla's attention and they were quite happy to join in on the chase. After racing around the yard a couple times they were joined by Maverick, who just couldn't resist any longer. Sadie came to a stop with the others gathered around waiting for her to start running again. Storm made his move and soon he and Sadie were wrestling. Shyla, not wanting to be left out of the fun, joined in. Maverick then went to see what Dexter was going to do now. This distracted Shyla who then went and joined the boys instead. After a little while it turned into Storm, Dexter, and Sadie wrestling while Maverick and Shyla went off to do some more exploring. Aura finally decided to join everyone in the main yard. She seemed happy to go around the yard and see what she might find in the snow. Maverick took a little break from exploring to have a quick snuggle with me while Aura made her way back out to the far yard. She then stood staring out beyond the fence, quite interested in something I couldn't see or hear. Shyla curious as to what Aura found so interesting, went over to see for herself. When Sadie, Dexter, and Storm went racing past and Shyla was quick to go racing after them, leaving Aura to keep observing the field. As they raced, Sadie noticed something in the snow and stopped running to check it out. She was joined by Dexter, Storm, Maverick, and Shyla.
Max's was the last group of the morning. He couldn't wait to get outside and get running. Max started to go racing off by himself when he notice Ariel and Aurora. He switched directions and went running to say hi. When Max was finished his greetings, he and Aurora were off booking it around the yard. As they raced Max spotted something in the snow. He stopped so he could give it a good once over. When he was finished looking around he went back to join Ariel and Aurora, and they continued to play until it was time to go inside. Max got some good play time with Sadie, who was waiting for him in the playroom.
