Happy Valentines Day!

*the pictures are not in order, please scroll through all of them to find out what your dog(s) & cat(s) were up to today!*

Cats

Missy and Gizmo enjoyed some time out of their suites together this morning. The two of them have been spending quite a bit of time together and seem to enjoy each other's quiet company. Missy strolled around the room and climbed the cat tree to the top and perched their for awhile. She then climbed back down to rest on the floor. I caught Gizmo warming up to her sprawled out on the floor not far from Missy, these two make an adorable pair. Bengal has been spending her time by herself but for a brief period this morning she explored the room along with Missy and Gizmo. She prefers to have the humans give her attention and she sings away in her suite demanding more pets.

Groups

Sally, Glo, and Hazel had a fantastic day together. In the morning, they were more than happy to go outside for their first round of outdoor play. Gloria immediately started leaping around the yard and going up to all of her doggy friends to say hello. Sally followed behind her and they ran over to Hazel to say hello. Gloria and Hazel got super excited and started to play. Hazel laid on the ground and Gloria came and pounced around at her. Sally was wandering around the yard while they were doing that. Instead of a walk today since it was too cold, the dogs went out for a small group playtime. Hazel enjoyed playing with Maggie and Mylo. In Sally and Glo's group they had fun with Justice and Magic. Not too long after that, the three were reunited for their next outdoor playtime. Just as they did earlier in the morning, the girls greeted each other then began to play. This time, Sally joined in with them. They were all so bouncy and jumping all over each other!

Maddie and Teddy enjoyed cuddles today. Bright and early in the morning, only Maddie was ready and excited to go outside. It was super chilly today, so Teddy seemed to prefer being cozy in his bed. But regardless, they both quickly went outside. Teddy was happy when he came back inside and cuddled back into bed. It was too cold out for walks today, so they went for a quick outdoor time with Ghira, Mac, and Baxter, followed by some indoor playtime. Not long after that, they again went outside for another playtime. It was so chilly out, that within a few minutes of being out there, Teddy ended up in my arms getting a cuddle.  Maddie sat at my feet and got some cuddles too!

Coco and Timbits were super happy to be playing outside today. When they arrived in the morning, they were just on time to go outside for their outdoor play. The two seemed to be anticipating meeting all the new friends in their group as I let them outside. Timbits was super excited, and ran all over the yard. Coco decided to explore right away, and began walking around along the fence. A few friends joined her and they all sniffed around together. Coco really seemed to enjoy Tank's company. By the end of the outing, Coco let me know it was time to go in by sitting by the door with one paw lifted. Meanwhile, Timbits just ran around until it was time to come inside. They enjoyed playing with all the toys in the playroom during their extra long indoor play time.

Maggie E had a good day. First thing in the morning, she got bundled up to go outside in the super chilly weather. While outside, she enjoyed exploring around the yard. Her coat covered her tail, so when she wandered over to me with her tail wagging, it was under the coat moving around, which was adorable! Throughout the day, she frequently came over to me for cuddles. I noticed by the end of the outdoor time that her feet seemed to be cold, so I picked her up and gave her a cuddle. When Maggie came inside from being out in the cold, she was super happy to curl up into her bed to warm up and be cozy.

Ghira and Benji had a great time together today. When I came in early this morning, I noticed that the two were both ready and eager to go outside. They wasted no time, and ran straight out the door one by one when they were let out. They greeted each other and everyone else in the yard when they got outside. After that outing, it wasn't long before it was time for their next one. This time, Ghira got super excited and wanted to play. She was bouncing all around the yard, going from one dog to another to greet them. While she was doing this, Benji was pouncing at me and rubbing up against my legs to get some cuddles. But when Ghira ran over to him, they instantly started playing. With all that running around, the two dogs were able to keep warm in such cold weather!

Sancho was super eager to go outside this morning, he was jumping up at his kennel
door waiting for me to open it. When I let him out he ran as fast as he could out the door
and headed straight to the agility yard where he couldnʼt hold in his energy any longer.
He ran in circles until he found a rock and the ground and picked it up to show
everyone. I picked up a bone right away and tossed it to him so that he would exchange it for the rock. He liked the bone much better and took off running circles with that instead.

Boomer and Forest were very happy when they got outside this morning with their
group. Forest always has the biggest smile on his face. When I was out with them he
would always come up and put his face in my stomach for me to pet his head, he's such a cuddle bug. Boomer
went off on his own and started to bark at Sancho as he was running in circles with his
bone. He wouldnʼt let Sancho come near Ashley and I and every time he tried to
Boomer would start to chase him. Sancho loved it and the boys played keep away together around the agility yard. I think Boomer wanted his bone, but Sancho kept the game interesting and zipped past him each time Boomer pounced. He then joined Forest and ran over to Ashley for cuddles,
they love to be pet and can never get enough of it!

Chloe was the other one in the group other than Sancho who is obsessed with their
toys. She bounced around outside for a bit and ran up and jumped on me to say hello
before chasing everyone into the agility yard. She picked up a rope toy right away and
started to tease me with it by running up to me but not letting me take it from her to
throw it. Eventually I got the toy from her and threw it across the yard for her to retrieve. Sancho saw me throw it and ran right for it with her, he managed to get to it before she did, and Chloe wasn't ready to give the rope up just yet. She immediately started to chase him around the yard and got the toy back from him that she didnʼt let go of the rest of her time outside.

Roobee and Riley are so calm and quiet in their kennel but once they get to go out with all of the other dogs, something comes over them and they become so energetic and social. Roobee went to wander around the yard at first to sniff around, she headed towards the fence that she stuck her nose through, she started barking at the cars that were coming up the lane way. As Roobee was barking at the cars, Riley took it upon himself to start going up to the dogs and bark at them as they played. He didn't just play referee the whole time, though, Riley jumped into the play action here and there before taking a break and watching the others again. He came up to me during one of his breaks with such a big smile on his face. When I tried to pet him he started to run in circles around me and teasing me, he wanted me to chase him. When I took my first step and was about to run, I slipped and fell in the snow and all the dogs came running to give me kisses on the ground.

Naughty was so playful outside today just like always. He started running around right away and picked up a bone that she was incredibly proud of. She took her time to find a spot and bury the bonei n the snow to save it for later. She dug it back up right away, though, and ran around with it sticking out of her mouth for everyone to see. When I called her over to me she would just wiggle her body and dance around me but jumped away each time, still with her bone held high. Eventually she
dropped the bone and started to roll around in the fluffy snow, which she loved, and kept on doing it until Clifford ran up to her.

Clifford was hanging out by himself for some of the time outside, and he didnʼt stay in the agility
yard where we were all playing. He wandered around in the other yard beside us, sniffing
around for the first while. When I went up and called him over he happily came to me and started to
socialize with the other dogs. He went up to Naughty and started to bounce around he
trying to get her to play with him, and she was more than happy to join in. Clifford, Naughty
and another dog were running around together for a while before it was time to go back
inside. Clifford came up to me in the middle of their playing session and backed right up
so I would scratch his back, he just wanted some cuddles.

Viggo wasnʼt too playful with the others outside today but was still very active and alert to
what was going on. At first he did his own thing and wandered around smelling all in the
rocks to see what he could find. He kept on digging his nose in the snow so that every
time he lifted his face it would be all white, it was so cute! He then started to sniff all the dogs and say hi to them as they were playing, but he never wanted to join in and run with them.
Instead he would keep him distance and slowly follow wherever they went. Viggo was
always watching the others and was always involved with their playing even if it was just from the sidelines.

Cooper came in today a little later than the other dogs, but just in time for his outdoor group. He was in such a good mood and ready to start his day right as he stepped outside. He was surprisingly calm at first out in the yard and kept to himself as he wandered around smelling the ground, but the ground eventually led up to smelling the dogs and thatʼs when he started to get excited. Cooper started to bounce around and play bow to them. He wanted them to chase him so badly that he ran around them in circles. The others started to bounce and hop around, excited to greet Cooper. The more dogs that showed up to say hello, the happier Cooper was!
