Cattery

Gizmo was lounging on the cat tree ledge when I headed into the cattery for  visit. As soon as he saw me, Gizmo sat up and waited for some pets and rubs. When Gizmo had finally had enough love he settled back down for a nap. Since it was Missy's turn, I put him back in his cubby and let her out. Missy was very impatient to get out of her cubby. She was quick to climb the cat tree and meow until I gave her some loving of her own. Bengal meowed from her cubby, asking to come out to join us. I went and gave her some snuggles and told her it was her turn to roam next. I came back a little while later to let Bengal out and she was very excited to have a look around and to explore the cat tree.

Groups

The first group of the morning was one of the groups of small dogs. Maggie said hello to her friend Mac as soon as they saw each other. After Mac and Maggie were finished, Leo headed over to say his hellos to Maggie. Benji spotted Mac and decided that he looked like a great partner for some playing. He went running over to wait for Mac to be done checking something out. When he was done, Mac went running over to Benji, and the boys ran around together. After running around for a little while, Benji decided to go and see what Tank was up to. After that he decided to go do a little exploring. Maggie had made her way around the yard and said hello to the whole group, so she made her way over to me for some pets and cuddles. She then left me to head out and check out the far yard. Along the way Maggie met up with Rocky. They spent some time checking one another over. Benji was curious as to what they were up to and went running over to join them.

The second group of littles was next. The majority of the group went running further into the yard, while Rocky J. and Maddie stuck around to do a little exploring. Maddie came over for some loving and pets from me when she was finished looking around. Off in the far yard, Ghira and Maya were having fun playing with Baxter. Teddy spotted Maddie and I and came running over to meet us at the gate. Maddie then went running off to join Coco and Timbits, who were alternating between racing around and checking things out in the snow. Maddie didn't stay with Coco and Timbits for long, though, and went running to play with Ghira. Maya continued to play with Baxter. Teddy toddled along after the crazies, watching all of the wrestling and running. Maddie then left Ghira to see if Teddy wanted to play, while Ghira went to go and rejoin Maya and Baxter. Maddie was soon back with Ghira and Maya. Coco and Timbits continued to race around and wrestle. As they were racing around their ,paths intersected with Maya, Ghira, Maddie, and Baxter. Everyone kind of just played together now all over the yard. While the others played, Teddy set out to do some exploring. He then made his way over to me for a quick visit before putting his nose back to the ground. Maya left the fun to go and see what Teddy was looking at. After she left, Maddie headed over to join Teddy. I left everyone to their fun to go and see what Rocky was up to now. I found him with his nose in the snow thoroughly checking out the areas were there used to be grass only a few days ago. Maddie came racing into the yard so Rocky changed course and went to follow her around for a little while.

Next up we switched to some big dogs. As we headed outside everyone decided to make their way to the far yard. Riley and Roobee did a quick tour before they went racing off to the agility yard. Kyah set out to do a little exploring as well, but she was interrupted by Forrest and Boomer. The three of them spent some time checking one another over. It wasn't long before they were bouncing around and having fun. Zoe, who doesn't like to miss out on any fun, went racing over to see about joining in. Chloe had found herself a rope ball pretty much as soon as she stepped foot out the door. She was happily running around the yard showing it off. When Zoe was finished saying hello to everyone in the far yard, went running off to join Riley and Roobee in the agility yard. A few minutes later, I led the rest of the dogs towards the agility yard so we could all be together. When we got out there I found Riley, Roobee and Zoe having fun racing around together. When Zoe noticed our arrival she went to see what Chloe had brought along. She then moved on to follow along behind Kane. Chloe was happy to continue running around with her ball. Kyah set off to do a little exploring. She was later distracted when Forrest came trotting up to her. Pretty soon they were having some fun wrestling. Boomer let his brother play and was happy to go around and check out if anything was new in the agility yard. Kyah left Forrest to continue her own explorations. When Boomer had checked everything out, he went running to Forrest. Riley and Roobee continued to have fun running around together until they noticed that Kyah had started to race around. Riley was quick to go tearing after her along with Forrest and Boomer. Zoe tagged along as well. I think she just likes to run, so if anyone is running she just tags along. Chloe was happy to carry her toy around the yard, showing it off to all of the other dogs. She eventually brought it over to me, and I bent down to see if she wanted to give me the toy so I could throw it. Chloe didn't want to play fetch, but she had lots of fun bouncing around me playing keep away. She loved when I tried to reach for the toy, and she would run away very quickly. She came back each time, though, and hopped around me, hoping that I would try again!

The next group was made up of Goldens and Huskies. As soon as they got out to the far yard Sally and Glo started to wrestle and race around. Tasha headed out the far yard as well, but she was more interested in doing some exploring. Boris met up with his two half siblings Justice and Magic and they instantly started wrestling and running around as well. Soon they went booking it off for the agility yard. Glo saw them take off and decided to tag along. Sally watched her go and went to see what Tasha was looking at. I made my way out to the agility yard to see what the others were doing there. I found Boris racing around the yard like a mad man. Glo, Justice and Magic were taking a break to do a little exploring. The break didn't last very long, though, and Magic and Justice took off after Boris. Glo joined them a little while later, not wanting to miss out on the fun. Tasha came trotting out to check on her children, Boris and Magic. When she was finished her check, she went trotting right back out to the main yard and we all decided to follow. Glo went back to playing with Sally and Boris, while Justice and Magic continued to play. After a little while the two groups merged and they had fun as a big group.

Clifford was happy to get outside and say hi to the rest of the group. When he was finished his greeting, he went trotting off to do a little exploring. Along the way Clifford found himself a ball. It was too funny, he would carry his ball around everywhere he went, only putting it down to have a bite of snow. He would forget for a minute that he still wanted the ball, and would go back to find it each time. A little while later, Clifford left the ball to go and play with Sam. When it was time to take a break, Clifford went to see what Merida was looking at. After that he came for a visit with me before running to play with Sam and Bentley.

The next group was a really fun group to watch. It started out with Viggo just wanting to explore and check everything out to see if anything was different since his last visit. Millie and Naughty on the other hand found each other and went racing off together. While they were racing Naughty threw herself to the ground to have a good roll. Millie stood near by trying to get her back on her feet and running some more. Viggo finally done with his investigations, made his way over to see Naughty. Naughty then went racing off to the far yard with Millie and Viggo in tow. The three of them then had a blast playing together. Millie certainly loves to play, and she finds friends in any group. It's great to see since sometimes the other dogs aren't sure what to expect, but Millie is such a firecracker that she makes friends wherever she goes!

Buddy and Molly started their morning off with a walk around the trail. I walked at a quick pace to keep warm, and Buddy and Molly were happy to march along with me. Later, during groups, the pair were very happy to run out into the yard. Buddy and Molly never seem to get tired of playing with each other. This is good especially when you live together. We headed out to the agility yard where Buddy was quick to launch himself at Molly. Then they were off racing around the yard. Molly stopped occasionally to try and snatch up a toy, but Buddy would be there demanding they wrestle. Molly didn't argue and they were off playing once more. They did take a couple of short breaks throughout group time and came to see me, but they never lasted long and the pair was always running right back into their wrestling match.

Max and Sadie couldn't wait to get outside. As soon as their feet touched the snow they were off ripping around the yard, with Sadie chasing after Max. They were tearing around the yard at full speed and just managing to not take me out along the way. Eventually Max and Sadie needed a bit of a break. They split up to check out somethings in the snow. It wasn't long before Sadie wanted to play some more. She got Max going and soon it was Max who was chasing Sadie. Sadie has been doing very well out in the yard lately. It's great to see that her training has been effective and that she's happy to stay in the yard with her friends, regardless of who's in her group. She doesn't seem to be worried about what's beyond the fence anymore, and she just has fun with her friends. Max certainly keeps her occupied when they're in the yard together, and its obvious that she loves him!
