Max and Sadie didn’t mind having a day to themselves today. Both Max and Sadie were very keen to put their noses to the ground and spend some quality time sniffing and exploring their everyday yard. It was nice for the pair to have an opportunity to really get familiar with every part of the yard. Sadie was so happy to have my undivided attention for a while today. We spent a goof portion of their outdoor time cuddling on the picnic table. Sadie loves to climb all over me like a monkey, pawing at my sides and licking my face whenever the opportunity arises. When Max saw Sadie climbing all over me he was quick to zoom over and try to get in on the action too. I made sure to give Max some good cuddles, before he took matters into his own hands and began goofing around with Sadie. Max and Sadie were happy to have the whole yard to themselves to play around in. They were sprinting from one corner all the way to the other corner, as fast as possible. Max was sure to stop and wrestle with Sadie for a bit before getting back on his feet to continue motoring around. The pair finished their time in the yard by sniffing some more.

Bella F. had such a great day today. We started things off with a nice morning walk, accompanied by Barley. Bella enjoyed his company as they trotted along the trail with smiles on their faces. In the yard today, Bella was so excited to see her best buddy Justice. Justice was very focused on all the smells in the yard today, so she tagged along in his adventures. The pair sniffed the whole perimeter of the yard, side by side, including all the grassy area and the gravel area. Finally Bella had enough of the exploring and was committed to getting Justice to play with her. She leapt up and pounced right on his back, asking him to box with her. Justice was happy to give in to her request, and instantly began dancing around with her. Bella was so happy to have her buddy back, and took all the time she could to play around. The pair finished their time in the yard by bolting around the yard, wrestling, and tackling one another before making their way indoors.

Oakley had another spunky day today. We were sure to put her in a group with Kyah, as these two seem to really be interested in one another. I wasn’t surprised to see them meet up right away and begin sniffing each other over. Oakley and Kyah then kept one another company in the yard, sitting side by side, enjoying the warm sun. After some hanging out the pair decided to goof around about. Oakley was very smitten with Kyah as she danced around her offering her kisses and paws. Sophie joined in on the games too, which got Oakley even more excited. Oakley happily danced around with these girls, enjoying every minute of her time outside. Before playtime was over, Oakley was sure to snuggle up by my side and take in some extra attention, which is always her favourite thing.

Ranger was thrilled with the weather today. He couldn’t have been happier to spend time outdoors in this lovely sunshine, rather than the nasty cold. Ranger occupied himself in the yard today by sniffing and exploring. He was thrilled that we were in a different yard today, as this provides him with a lot more to check out. Ranger found himself in the middle of a game with Justice, Bella, and Sophie and he decided to get involved. It was so cute watching Ranger play bow, and dance around with his younger group mates. He was adorable while wagging his tail and pawing at his pals. After some brief goofing around, Ranger went back to exploring the yard. He was sure to meet up with me for some snuggles and cookies before heading indoors.

Bella and Jake were excited to see little Resa out in the yard with them this morning; Resa sure knows how to have a good time and get the energy flowing. Sure enough, off Resa went zooming around the yard, which immediately enticed Jake and Bella to chase her. I was surprised to see Bella run with such enthusiasm as she often likes to stay out of the action and watch from a distance, but not today. Perhaps it was the sunshine that got her feeling frisky but she definitely ran her energy out this morning that’s for sure. She finally got tired out and made her way over to hang out with the quiet girls Shelby and Julie who were lounging in the front yard. I think she enjoyed the peace and quiet as she watched her brother endlessly chase Resa in the far yard. Jake never gives up on a good chase and has lots of energy to burn and I think they could have ran laps around the yard for the whole afternoon at that rate! His attention broke from Resa when he found the red ball in the yard. He picked it up and trotted over to his sister Bella and dropped it at her feet then turned around to catch up with Resa again. Bella investigated the ball and I got her attention by bouncing it up and down by her feet. She wasn’t too impressed, she would much rather some cuddles rather than play with that silly ball!

The energy was definitely flowing for Finnigan and friends for their outing this morning. Finnigan met new friend Pepper who is also a doodle of sorts but most importantly just as silly and playful as he is. These two fluffy dogs wrestled endlessly back and forth, up and down and in between their friends without a care in the world. There were lots of new faces in this group for Finnigan to meet and play with; we thought he would be a good match for Chloe C since they both love their toys. With the blue Frisbee in mouth, Chloe spotted Finnigan from a distance eyeing her prized possession, immediately she knew she was going to have competition. Finnigan darted straight for Chloe with the intention of snatching the Frisbee away from her but he soon realized how quick and agile she was and eventually gave up. That’s ok he thought, he found the next best thing, the rope toy and played a good game of tug with me. The options to play were endless for Finnigan this morning and he really made the most of his time out there, especially with new friend Pepper by his side. Chloe was very proud that she was able to dodge the tireless Finnigan and followed me around the yard with her wiggly bum. She had to stay close to me incase I offered her another toy to fetch. That seems to be Chloe’s biggest concern in the world, how will she fetch every toy in the yard in such little time? Chloe’s new friend Kai was also out there today and Kai was just thrilled to see and play with everyone again. In fact she is just about thrilled and excited for everything that comes her way since she is the sweetest and kindest girl around. Kai likes to take her time at first roaming the yard while saying hello to old and new friends, but out of nowhere her whole body will jump and jiggle with excitement as she chases one of her friends. That friend usually being Barley since he is such a silly guy and Kai just seems to adore him and his crazy antics. The fun didn’t stop there for Kai, next up was her special attention time; who wouldn’t want extra kisses and cuddles from our staff?

It's safe to say that Kai had an absolute blast during her extra attention time today! We started out by going for a wander in the field. Kai's nose led us to the back of the field to the little bridge. We made our way out into the back trail, and suddenly Kai had a big burst of energy! She started bouncing and play bowing around on the trail. I followed suit and started to pounce around the trail with Kai and this got her even more excited! It was such a nice day so Kai and I continued to walk, run and bounce around through the trees and eventually back to the bridge. We sat together on the bridge to relax for a minute, where Kai posed for a pretty picture.
