When I came in this morning, I was greeted by Allie right away in the cat room. She had her front paws perched the window frame of the door while she was standing on the chair looking out. I went in and she meowed at me a couple times, letting me know she was ready for her breakfast as soon as possible. She hopped right up to her condo and began to eat her breakfast before taking a little nap. Later on, I went in to the cat room and she was on the cat tree, hanging gout with her friends. The two other cats that are in with Allie really like her, and the three of them often climb all over the cat tree together. Allie came up to me and rubbed her little head on my arm while I pet her. She purred for a bit before returning to her condo for another little nap.

Miko was so excited for his extra attention today, he flew right off his bed and out of the kennel. We headed up to the reception area where Miko loves to play and cuddle with everyone. He checked out one of his favourite toys, the stuffed fox, and carried it around to show off. After shaking his toy around, Miko set it down and decided to just run around and say hello to everybody. He hoped up on the chair with Alyssa and cuddled with her for a bit. Then he continued to explore the room. Miko was darting back and forth; he was just so happy that he didn't know what to do with himself. Eventually he relaxed and came to sit with me for another back rub.
Miko went bouncing out into the yard. He took a moment to take in his surroundings. Miko also took a moment to just stare at me. This quickly turned into him launching himself at my legs and demanding some pets. Once he got the pets Miko took off running after Duffy. When Duffy stopped walking, Miko continued on running out to the far yard. He did a small lap around the yard before running over to the gate to the yard next to us. When I told him that we weren't going to be using that yard today he came and launched himself at my legs again. Miko was then bursting with energy. He went booking it off around the yard. I think he just had to get all the energy out so he just raced around in some crazy circles. Miko was distracted from his running my Duffy and decided to go and see what he was looking at. That lasted about a second and then Miko was off running once more only this time he was also trying to get Duffy to run with him. Duffy was still only interested in checking out what was beneath all the new snow. He then went on to roll in it so Miko just ran circles around him.

Duffy I don't think was quite sure what to make of the snow and slush today! He got out to the yard and just kind of paused and glanced back at me. When Duffy realized we were staying outside a bit longer he decided to head off and do some exploring. As he made his way further into the yard he was joined by Miko. When Duffy stopped to look at something by the fence Miko went running past. Duffy didn't seem to mind especially since Abby was by the fence. He spent a little bit of time with Abby by the fence, Duffy then put his nose to the ground and headed out to the far yard. He made it a few yards in when he was enthralled by something in the snow. Miko became curious about what Duffy was looking at and went over to join him. The two of them spent some time checking it out together. Once Miko got bored Duffy found himself at the centre of Miko's focus. He went racing around Duffy trying to get him to play. Duffy was still focused on whatever was in the snow and grass and wasn't interested in running around. Eventually he finished with that spot and made his way over to a slightly snowier spot. It was then time to rub and roll in the snow. Duffy started with just his head, before slowing lower himself to rub one side of his body.

Delilah wasn't quite sure what to think of today's weather when we headed out into the field for our morning walk. When it was time for group, she seemed happier that it was more snow-like and less slush-like. With snow now covering things Delilah was quick to set off in search of anything interesting. She spent quite some time exploring the entrance way of the agility yard while the rest of the group ran further into the yard. When Delilah had checked everything over quite thoroughly she joined us out in the yard. She spent some time watching the groups antics as they raced around. It didn't take long for her to make her way over to me for some pets and attention. Once she'd had enough Delilah set out to explore this section of the yard. As she was going around the yard she was stopped occasionally so the other dogs could say hello and give her a quick once over. Delilah would stop and let them sniff her and occasionally would give them a once over in return, and then continue on her way around the yard. When she met up with Zim she took a bit more of a liking to him and did a little bounce and ran. With that out of her system it was back to exploring.

Caesar was pretty excited to head out for his group time. As soon as he got out the door he took off running. It didn't take long for Caesar to meet up with some dogs and go racing around the yard with them. Walker soon came running to join the fun. It then turned into Caesar chasing someone instead of being chased like earlier. When they went running through the far part of the yard Caesar became distracted by something in the snow and grass. He took a break from running so he could check it out. Once he was done Caesar was ready to run once more. He didn't see Walker right away so he set his sights on Pirate. Not long after the two of them were racing around the yard. Pirate became distracted by something by the fence so Caesar went to see who else could play. He soon met up with Walker and friends which also included Pirate. They went to go running off together. Caesar and Pirate then branched off to race around on their own. They caught the eye of Lucy who went bouncing over to see about joining in. After some more bouncing and wrestling Caesar and Walker met up once more. It didn't take long for them all to go racing around the yard together having a great time.

Walker headed out to the yard and looked a little like he wasn't quite ready for winter's abrupt arrival. As soon as he met up with the rest of the group that all disappeared. It took about 30 seconds to start racing around the yard. Walker met up with Caesar and the two of them took off running around the yard. He lost Caesar when he stopped to check out something in the snow. Walker didn't let that stop his fun and continued to go tearing around the yard hoping someone else would run with him. He did take a moment to come charging over to me and demand some love before he was off running once more. Walker soon had Pirate, Gryphon, and Dj running after him. They all then met up with Caesar. Pirate branched off to run with him and Walker, Gryphon, and DJ continued on together. Walker lead the others back over to where Caesar was having fun. After checking to see if he was missing out on anything Walker made his way over to the tunnel. He stared at it a moment then put his front paws on it. Walker stayed there a minute then went racing back to join the others. They all raced around for pretty much the rest of group time.

Charlie is having a blast here with us at Tails & Trails. He started his day out on a nice walk through the fresh snow, which he really seemed to enjoy. As soon as he got outside for his walk, he lifted his nose to the air, to sniff the snow, then woofed in excitement. Throughout his walk, Charlie spent some time sniffing around in the snow, and stopped once to have a quick roll around in it. Needless to say, Charlie is quite excited about this snowfall. When it was time to go out for his group, Charlie raced down the hall with his pals and ran straight out the door, happy to be out with his pals. As soon as he got out the door, Charlie sniffed everyone to say hello, then went to sniff around the yard. While sniffing around the yard, he stopped near a pile of rocks, and started to dig around in them as he watched his friends wrestle around on the ground. Before we headed back inside, Charlie and I had a quick cuddle and I gave him a few treats for being such a well-behaved pooch.

Goliath always has such a blast with us. He started his day off with a nice long walk through the field, plowing through the snow. As soon as we got outside, Goliath was ecstatic that there was finally snow on the ground again for him to play in. On his walk, Goliath spent some time playing around in the snow, and running around with the zoomies, but he did make sure to get a good sniff around before we got back inside. When it was time to go out with his group, Goliath ran as fast as he could out the door. After he got outside, he spent some time sniffing around by the fences as he watched his pals play around. After thoroughly thinking it through, Goliath decided to run over to them to join in on the fun. As the group chased each other around, Goliath slowed down and came over to me to give me a few kisses before it was time to go back inside.
Today for Goliath's extra attention we decided to head up to the front room. We had both had enough fun in the blowing snow for the moment. Goliath took a tour of the room checking out the toys and the people. When he reached the people he stopped for some pets before continuing on his way. I went and grabbed some treats which immediately caught Goliath's attention. He was more than happy to give me and sit for a treat. I then asked him for a down and paw. We did this a couple times while I also tried to figure out what else he knows. He knows spin/turn, but not sit pretty. For some fun I tossed him a couple treats to catch. Goliath seemed to really enjoy this though I will say my tosses weren't perfect. Next I wanted to see if he'd be interested in finding any treats. I put him in a sit with his back to the room and tossed a few treats. I then told Goliath to go and find them. He went tearing off and snatched them all up pretty quick. Goliath then raced back to me wanting to do it again. I tossed a few more and he set out in search. He was start to feel extra frisky so we turned to the toys. He wasn't thrilled with a few up them, but eventually settled on the purple snake. We had some fun until I tossed it. Goliath chased it, but then decided to leave it where it was and come over for some pets.

Teddy and Kizmet had such a great day today. They started their day off by going on a nice long walk with Eric, who they both adore. On their walks, the boys spent some time sniffing around in the fresh snow, and exploring around in the field. When they got back from their walks, the boys both curled up in their beds and took a nice long nap before it was time to go back outside again. For their group today, Teddy and Kiz were so excited to be outside. When they got out there Teddy ran over to the middle of the yard, and rolled around in the snow and dirt to show just how excited he was. As Kiz stopped sniffing to see what Teddy was doing on the ground, he saw his pal Arly and ran over to him to chase him around. As Kiz and Arly spent some time playing around in the yard, Teddy came over to me for a few cuddles before joining in on the chase. Eventually, the boys got tired and decided to spend the last few minutes outside sniffing around the yard before going back inside.
