Sophie W was so happy to get out for her group. As soon as she got out the door she was running around with a huge smile on her face. Sophie then went running out to the agility yard. She trotted around trying to decide what she wanted to do first. After going around the yard a couple times Sophie ended up over by the fence with her nose buried in the grass. Something on the other side of the fence caught her attention. Sophie spent some time trying to figure out what was going on. When she finished her investigations, Sophie was back to striding around the yard with that smile on her face. Her path eventually led her way over to me. Sophie plopped herself in front of me and demanded all the love I could give her. Once she was satisfied Sophie decided to head back out to tour some more of the yard. She ended up back over by the fence with the very interesting grass and buried her nose once more to find all of it's secrets. When the grass had nothing more to say Sophie decided to make her way over to where Maggie was hanging out. They spent some time together just watching what the rest of the group was up to.

Maggie G went trotting out to the agility yard. When I wasn't quite quick enough she came trotting back to see what was taking me so long. Once she was satisfied that I was in fact coming, Maggie continued on out to the agility yard. She went trotting around the yard checking out anything that caught her attention. It wasn't long before Maggie had made her way back to me and was demanding all the pets and attention she could get. When she'd had enough for the moment, Maggie headed back out to tour more of the yard. Her attention was then caught by Dragon, who was checking something out by the fence. Maggie made her way over to him to check it out for herself. With that done, she started to make her way back to me when the big rock caught her eye. She veered off course and went to check on the area around the rock. Now Maggie really had the exploration bug and headed off to check out more of the yard. She eventually saw all she wanted to see and headed back my way. Maggie got as close and she could to me, gave me a couple kisses, then demanded some belly rubs. We spent some more time just hanging out together until Maggie made her way over to the far fence and watched the rest of the group.

Delilah made her way into the yard and took stock of what all was going on. She then went to make her way further into the yard when she was stopped by Pirate. They spent some time saying hi to one another and giving each other a quick once over. Pirate was particularly interested in Delilah's ears. When they split up Delilah continued on her way to the agility yard. She took her time as she stopped to check out anything that caught her attention. Delilah then spotted me and came trotting on over for some pets. She once more found herself being checked over by Pirate, though they were also joined by Myles. Delilah sat patiently while they looked her over. As soon as they moved on she was all about the pets. Eventually Delilah had had enough love and decided to go and see what Barley was looking at over by the fence. When she didn't find it overly interesting Delilah came and planted herself at my feet so she could watch what the rest of the group was up to and get pets at the same time. Not too long after that Delilah was being checked over by Bentley. When he finished she returned the favour and gave him a thorough once over. Delilah's attention was then captured by a noise on the other side of the fence. She spent some time trying to figure it out. When Barley took of running Delilah decided to give chase. They were then joined by Myles. When the running stopped Delilah was to quick to tell them how she felt about that idea.

Lilo was so excited to get outside for group time. She started to bounce around my legs and excitedly barking. Lilo then took off to follow the rest of the group out to the agility yard. Her nose was quick to hit the ground when she entered the yard. Lilo set off in pursuit of some rather interesting smells. She ended up going all over the yard only lifting her head to see what some of the other dogs were up to. Lilo eventually ended up over by the far fence. She spent some time sniffing through the cracks and seeing what was going on on the other side. When Lilo got bored her nose hit the ground once more and she was off. Her nose lead her my way and Lilo was more than happy to take a little break so she could cuddle a bit and get lots of pets and scratches. She particularly liked the ear rubs. Lilo was then distracted by something in the grass and had to go check it out. It didn't take her long to come back for more attention. When some of the rest of the group started to race around the yard, Lilo left me once more to go running after them.

Duffy had another great day with us! He enjoyed a walk in the lovely weather alongside his friend Miko and our volunteer, Eric. Duffy was certainly in a great mood for groups later in the morning. He pranced out into the yard, took a big whiff of the air, and then set out to explore. Duffy was happily sniffing around the grass when he noticed that his best friend Eric had joined us in the yard. Immediately Duffy hurried over to say hello. The two of them sat on the picnic table and cuddled for a bit. Then Duffy followed Eric around the yard to see what the other dogs were up to. Occasionally Duffy would get distracted and stop to sniff something, although as soon as he realized that he had been left behind Duffy would race to catch up. He certainly loved hanging out with our volunteer today! Eventually Duffy wandered off to investigate some spots along the fence. He bumped into Percy, who quickly play-bowed and then went racing off. Duffy simply watched the energetic little guy running around and then trotted over to see if I had anything for him. Unfortunately my pockets had been cleared of treats in the previous group, but Duffy was just as happy to cuddle with me instead!

Buddy is such a sweetheart. He is always snuggled up on that big bed of his whenever I visit him in his kennel. First thing this morning, Buddy followed his group out into the yard and immediately set out to see what had changed over night. After that he had a nice walk and enjoyed the sun while he wandered down the trail. Buddy was still ready to go for groups after his walk and extra attention, and he didn’t waste any time making his way out of the door. There were a few dogs running around and Buddy paused to watch them play. Then he noticed me taking pictures and hurried over to say hello. Buddy certainly loves his attention! I made sure to give him a nice scratch behind the ears before he continued on his way around the yard. He bumped into Rose and Dixie, who were busy sniffing, and decided to join them. After that Buddy ended up at my side again, searching for more cuddles as usual. For his extra attention today, Buddy and I headed up to the playroom after walks. He quickly got to work exploring the new space. There were plenty of toys everywhere for Buddy to check out, not to mention the chair and couch that he found particularly interesting. I showed him a few different toys to see what caught his interest. Buddy seemed to like one of the bones and spent a while sniffing it and nosing it around. Then he made his way over to the chair. I rubbed his ears while Buddy observed the playroom from his new perch. He wandered around the room for a bit longer and then we both went to sit on the couch and cuddle.

Dixie was just a bundle of excitement today! It was great to see her in such a good mood, ready to start the day. She made her rounds of the yard in our first group rotation of the day and made sure to say hello to everyone. It was a bit chilly first thing this morning but once it was time for walks, the sun was shining and Dixie was loving the weather. Even after a nice long walk, which she spent exploring the trail, Dixie was bursting with energy at group time. We headed out into the yard and Dixie immediately raced over to say hello to me. She sat down, posed for the camera, and then waited patiently for a cuddle. Once Dixie had gotten a thorough back scratch, she was satisfied to move on to her next spot. She trotted over to sniff one of the rocks in the yard, and nearly ran into her friend Rose, who had the same idea. Both of the girls decided to team up and set to work exploring the yard together. Dixie divided her time between wandering around with Rose, mingling with some of the other dogs, and getting plenty of cuddles from me. It was certainly a great day for Dixie!
Dixie was so happy during her extra attention, her tail was wagging like crazy the entire time. She was very excited to head up front and could hardly wait for me to open the door. Dixie immediately started racing around the room and trying to sniff everything at once. She poked her head under every chair and nosed through the toy bin for a little bit. Of course, Dixie loves her cuddles more than anything and was content to sit on my lap for a while. Then Dixie hopped up onto one of the chairs and lay down while she basked in all of the attention. We finished things off with a stroll outside and a good long cuddle.

Miko was in a great mood all day. He was ready to go the moment we headed outside first thing this morning. After that, we had walks, and he was so excited to get out on the trail. He enjoyed a nice stroll with his friends Duffy and Eric. Miko was still full of energy when it came time for groups, so I encouraged him to play with Percy, who was already running around at top speed. Miko enjoyed watching Percy race around but wasn’t quite ready to start playing himself. Instead he set to work exploring the yard. Miko had just poked his head into the tunnel when suddenly Percy and Resa went flying past in a blur. This time Miko was determined not to be left out and went hurtling after Percy. The two boys pounced on each other and wrestled, until Miko leaped over Percy and took off across the yard, with the other dog right on his tail. Then Percy was distracted by something else and made a sharp turn to see what it was. Miko realized he was no longer being persuaded, and went to investigate a hole instead. It wasn’t long before he was back playing with Percy. For Miko’s extra attention, we headed up to the front so he could explore the different space and play with the plentiful supply of toys we have. Right away Miko targeted a fox stuffy. He played tug-of-war with Tayler and then carried his prize around after successfully stealing the toy. I tossed him a stuffed snake and Miko seemed very conflicted over which toy he should take! In the end, Miko managed to stuff both of them in his mouth and paraded them around the room as well.cvvcvvb d m  After playing with the toys, I grabbed a few treats for Miko and he showed off his favourite tricks. He had no trouble sitting or laying down, and happily offered me a paw when I asked for it. Miko enjoyed his treats and then we went back to the toys.

Sophie B. was quite the happy girl today. She always seems to be smiling! This morning she seemed to be enjoying the yard so much and it took a bit of persuading to get her and her friend Miko back inside. Of course, they weren’t inside for very long as we had walks soon after. Sophie had such a fun time exploring the trail with her friends. After her extra attention, Sophie had a little nap and then it was time for groups! She wasted no time bounding out the door and almost ran right into Maggie. Sophie hurried over to the grassy area of the yard where she set to work sniffing around the yard. Soon she was joined by a few of the other dogs. Sophie was so excited to be outside that she couldn’t stay still for very long and was darting back and forth, trying to explore everything at once while Buddy and Dixie attempted to keep up. Eventually she slowed down and ended up at my feet, waiting for some attention. Sophie enjoyed a nice long cuddle and then went leaping over to see what was going on at the picnic table. Sophie B got so excited when she spotted me headed for her kennel. Her tail was wagging a mile a minute as she stood by the kennel door. As soon as I opened Sophie's door she went booking off down the hall, she then ran back to me to make sure I was coming, before taking off once more. We made our way up to the front room. Sophie was quick to go trotting around and check out everything in the room. With that done she decided it was time for some attention. Sophie made the rounds around the room making sure that everyone stopped and pet her. Once she'd had enough loving for the moment we moved on to the toys. After checking them all over Sophie decided that she didn't want to play with toys. She came over for some more pets and cuddles. I then went and grabbed some treats. Sophie perked right up and came and sat in front of me. This quickly earned her a treat. Next Sophie then offered me her paw, but she didn't really want me to touching her foot... I then tossed some treats around the room so she had to go and find them. Sophie seemed to enjoy it though she came to me to help her find a couple of them.
