Tag had such a fun day today. This girl was everyone’s best friend, from the moment she entered the yard. As always, Tag was quick on her feet and instantly began fast paced chase around the yard. She led the way with numerous friends following behind. It wasn’t long before her speedy friend DJ caught up to her and took over leading. This only made Tag run faster and faster. As she motored around the yard, plenty different friends rotated in and out of the chase, as she remained the one constant participant. She was eager to take a break at the pool where she grabbed a drink, and cooled off. She was sure to carry on with her friends after briefly resting. Tag loves little Bailey, as well as Maya and Barb. She kept pretty busy with them until she wanted to rest once more. As she lay down to rest in the shade, Barb and Bailey climbed all over her. She was very patient with the puppies, remembering that she too was once a little monkey. They goofed around and then did some more laps around the yard until she returned indoors to her cool kennel for a nap.

Bailey had a five-star day. She never stopped moving from the moment she set foot in the yard. Her group was full of playful young pups, which kept her very occupied. She was a big fan of Tag the schnauzer. Bailey raced after her for a very long time, doing fast paced laps of the yard trying her hardest to keep up. She loved the competition when the other dogs joined in, and continued to barrel forward, attempting to catch the leader. Bailey was very keen to take a break by the pool, where she splashed around cooling off. Bailey is one of the few beagles I know that loves the water. She danced around with her friends, sending water everywhere with a wagging tail. After her dip, she was happy to get motoring once again. Her games never stopped, whether she was racing with Tag and DJ, playing under the structure with Barb, or wrestling with Jake. By the time we headed indoors, Bailey was more than happy to crash for a bit before her next outing.

I tried my best to get Maya active and playing today, and I succeeded! Once again, I brought Rocky into the grassy yard in my arms like a little baby. He enjoys the attention, but is never keen to leave the gravel yard. Of course, Maya trotted along beside me staring up at Rocky wondering what I was doing with her brother. As I placed him down in the grass, Maya checked him over to make sure everything was all right. As she was wiggling around, she caught the attention of Tag. Tag is always excited to meet new friends and play. She insisted over and over that Maya goof around with her. Finally, after many attempts, Maya gave in and the pair set off. It wasn’t long before Maya was in on a big chase with lots of other play mates. Meanwhile, Rocky was sniffing and exploring the uncharted grassy yard, which he doesn’t spend much time in. He figured out he was small enough to scurry under the gate and made his way back to the gravel yard for some tanning. He was happy to have the company of some independent friends while Maya continued to play. When Maya noticed Rocky wasn’t around, she flew across the yard seeking him out. Once re-united, the pair rested in the shade enjoying the quiet company of their friends.

Charlee is such a sweet little girl. Since the whole group was very busy today, I was excited to have some time to spend alone with her. She was eager to hop up in my arms and be cuddled. Charlee offered me lots of face kisses and snuggles while I carried her around the yard. She seemed to love the birds eye view of all the action. When we came across her girls, Roxy and Trixie, she asked to me let down. She was then happy to wander around with them and explore. Roxy and Trixie keep very busy in the yard as their noses lead them around. It’s hard to get them to look up at me as there are many things that keep them occupied in the grass. With some cookies, and silly noises the girls look up at me for a photo occasionally. I had Roxy very excited when I sat on the picnic table. She leapt up with me and cuddled into me, and Trixie came following behind. The girls enjoyed one another’s company on the table until they spotted some fun going on and they flew off to check it out. Trixie was more eager to get in on the action, while Roxy stood back and supervised. The girls loved all the youngsters goofing around as it provided them with a lot of entertainment. They were also very excited to have the company of Charlee during some of their adventures.

Benji is such a cheeky fellow. He loves to taunt the youngsters by play bowing and dancing around them, but once they give in to his play requests he’ll saunter off. He had Barb the lab puppy wrapped around his paw today. She was following him everywhere after he danced around her. Benji led Barb through the long grass and under the play structure, as she sought out some game time. Finally, Benji gave in to her and they briefly played around before he came to my side looking for some attention. Benji was happy to cuddle into my side accepting pets and cuddles. After some one on one time Benji set out to explore some more. Along the way, he came across some friends, who he trotted along with. He was happy to spend the end of his outdoor time in the shaded area of the gravel yard where he rested along side some older friends.

Sophie was full of positive energy, as usual today. This girl never fails to put a smile on my face, as well as perk up all the other dogs. She is constantly happy and wagging her tail. Sophie could hardly wait to get into the second yard today, as she knew that’s where the good toys were hiding. She was quick to find a Frisbee and begin rolling around on it. As she flailed about she got the attention of Stella who was very curious as to what she as doing. After she wiggled around and leapt up, she flew off. Stella was hot on her heels looking for a chase. Sophie wasn’t interested in a chase, rather, she was heading for the pool. It took Sophie all of 5 seconds to play down in the pool and attempt to fully submerge herself. She was swimming in half a foot of water in no time, splashing all over with a smile on her face. Sophie spent her whole morning outing repeating the same things; playing with toys, running around, and rolling in the water. After a lot of running, playing, and swimming Sophie finally came to my side looking for attention. She was so happy to rub her head against my leg, accepting pets and cuddles. There’s not much more Sophie could ask for than a good ear rub along with some side pats before heading indoors for a nap.

It seems like forever since I last saw Stella. It’s funny, because last week we were just talking about her. I was so excited to see her mosey down the hall with a smile on her face and a wagging tail. She settled in very quickly, and was eager to let the fun begin. Stella loved her morning walk along the trail. There was so much for her to sniff and explore along the path, which kept her very busy. During her play group, it took her a bit to settle in as she had to investigate the entire yard before playing. Stella wandered around the perimeter of the yard with her nose buried in the grass and rocks before making her way to the middle of the yard to sniff. Along the way she came across her friend Sophie, rolling around. She tried to get Sophie to play, but Sophie was too focused on getting to the pool. Stella was just as happy to follow Sophie to the pool, where she too cooled her pas off. The pool is very tiny compared to Stella, but this didn’t bother her at all. Stella loved splashing around in the cool water. In the middle of her pool time, young Vega went zipping by. This got Stella very excited. Stella was quick to leap out of the pool and follow behind Vega. The pair began looping around the yard at fast speeds. All their games drew the attention of Jemma, Sophie, Tsavo and Leah. Soon enough there was a heard of them looping around the yard. Stella loved running as fast as she could after her friends. She did a handful of laps before making her way to the pool to cool down once more. After all this crazy playing, Stella spent the rest of her outdoor time hanging out by my side looking for love and affection.

Tsavo was excited to re-unite with her little friend Vega. Vega has almost doubled in size since they first started hanging out about six months ago. Tsavo is always quick to find her bestie in the yard and begun playing with her. They had a good time dancing around, before including some other friends in on their games. Tsavo loved racing as fast as she could with Vega, Stella, Leah and Jemma around the yard. Tsavo was in the middle of the chase, trying her hardest to get in front. It took some effort by soon enough Tsavo was leading everyone all around the yard, through the tunnel and over the boulders with ease. She loved the fast paced action. After lots of fast running Tsavo took a break. She enjoyed sniffing and exploring all the yards today in peace. The sun was very warm, so she took a break by the pool where she very briefly dipped her paws. Before we head indoors, Tsavo spent some time cuddling into my side accepting some ear scratches and side pats.

Dynamic duo Victory and Gracie were excited to see daycare pal Jemma join their group for the day. They could just sense her fun-loving energy and the two of them immediately ran over to say hello! Victory remembers Jemma and excitedly lifted her bum into the air enticing her to play with a play bow. Meanwhile Gracie was sniffing around her face and Jemma does what she does best, submissively rolled over on to her back! Victory and Gracie ran into the adjacent yard where I was filling up the pool and Jemma followed suit. Victory could hardly wait to get in the pool and jumped right in before it was even full! On Jemma’s journey over to the grassy yard, she met up with good pal Charly the Golden and had a few good wrestles with her and fellow Golden Molly. Gracie wanted to be part of the fun too, and cut her usual laps around the yard short to come hang out with Jemma and her friends on the wooden pallet. Everyone had their tongues hanging out the side of their mouths today, it was a hot one and they were very thankful to have the cold pool around! The sun also made the girls very tired from just a few rounds of play, they followed me over to the shade and each took turns getting their head rubs, both Jemma and Gracie were smiling from ear to ear!

After an afternoons nap, Victory was replenished and ready to head back outside again for her extra attention session. It was such a beautiful day so we definitely had to make a trip over to the creek! With leash in hand, Victory and I headed out on an adventure together, and stopped to smell all of the beautiful flowers blooming around. Victory got her feet wet and cooled off by the creek and we sat together and watched the water flow by amongst all the greenery. But the real fun happened back inside, where she found and collected all of her favorite tennis-balls in her mouth. It was the perfect way for her to hang out in the shade before she headed back outside for her next group outing again!
Thursdays mean that all of our frisky daycare friends are in for a day of fun and together this group of sillies surely didn’t disappoint! Best pals Teddy and Percy were the first ones out the door and sprung into the yard to get the party started! Meanwhile Issy, Cai and Kimi slowly but surely followed behind to see what they could get up too today. Mocha on the other hand knew exactly what was on the agenda today, sunbathing! Percy and Teddy had already made it out into the far grassy yard by the time I got out there and finished some cuddles with Mocha. Percy didn’t hesitate one bit to jump full steam into the pool and this got the attention of Cai who then raced over to test the temperature himself, signature tongue out of course! Teddy was running circles around them just waiting for Percy to notice the toy I was holding in my hand ready for a game of fetch. Percy leaped into the air to catch it but Teddy stopped him mid jump and enticed him to a friendly wrestle instead! Ladies Kimi and Issy made sure to stay out of the way of those rambunctious boys and Kimi stoically sat as watched the entertainment unfold around her. Issy was nose to the ground every time I saw her, always a busy bee that one is and must have a daily quota of laps she must complete! But it was a scorcher today, even Mocha had to find shade towards the end of group and ladies Kimi and Issy quickly made their way over to join her. Cai and the boys couldn’t be bothered however, they wrestled and played and swam all morning long soaking up every moment of sun they could get!
