Victory and I headed up to the reception area for her extra attention today. She loves to hang out up there because there's so many toys for her to choose from. Right away Victory noticed a rubber toy on the ground and snatched it up. She then proceeded to prance around the room, shaking the toy like crazy. After we had played with that one for a bit, Victory went to poke around in the toy bin, finding a nice rubber bone to chew on. She then enjoyed some cuddles and a few treats.
Charlee, Roxy and Trixie are the cutest trio. They were so happy to head out for their walk this morning. Charlee brought up the rear as we reached the trail and the girls set out to sniff around. While Roxy and Trixie were zigzagging in every direction, Charlee decided to stick closer to me, occasionally venturing off when her nose caught something interesting. When it was time for their group, the three of them joined their friends in the yard and wandered around a bit to say hello to everyone. Charlee hurried over to climb into my lap as soon as I crouched down, giving my hands and the camera a friendly sniff. She then bounced off and headed over to the grass, where the other two were exploring. Roxy had her nose buried in the grass, occasionally munching on some, but mostly she was just interested checking out all of the different scents. Trixie was by her side for a while, although she seemed to be enjoying the sun more than she was actually sniffing! I went over to say hello to the girls and both of them quickly trotted over for some pats. Then Charlee came over, not wanting to be left out of the attention, with her friend Kado following close behind. The whole bunch of them wandered around my feet for a bit, taking turns to cuddle. Roxy, Trixie and Kado ended up teaming up to explore the far yard, while Charlee had bumped into Bailey and was happily greeting her new pal. When she decided to go find her sisters, Charlee wasn't too sure about venturing into the far yard so I carried her over to the picnic table, where she enjoyed a belly rub and then bounced over to see what Roxy and Trixie were sniffing.
Cleo settled in wonderfully today! She went
for a nice walk with her new friend Bear as soon as she got here and had a
great time splashing through puddles and checking out all the smells in the
grass. She is so sweet and walked calmly beside Bear the whole time. Since she is
still a little nervous around about all the other dogs so we went for another
walk by ourselves this afternoon and she had an absolute blast! She was so
excited to get out there, but sat nicely for me to put her leash on before
bounding down the hallway. She loved getting out for some sun, and took her
time to explore the field during her walk—she even stopped to smell some
flowers! Whenever she stumbled across something she wanted to check out she
would stop for a minute to give it a little sniff and then would run back
ahead. She is so much fun, and was such a good dog today!
Sophie had so much fun today and was so
excited to go outside this morning. She had a great walk today as well, and
even though it was pretty wet out in the field that didn’t stop her from having
a great time! This afternoon when the sun was finally shining she had a blast
during playtime. She was very vocal today, always asking for someone to play
with her or looking for a scratch behind the ear. She was hanging out a lot
with her friend Gracie—they walked around the yard together checking out any
new smells. When she got tired of playing, she came over and we had a nice
little cuddle before going back inside. She is so much fun to have here and is
such a sweet girl!
Dexter had a good day today, and has been
getting more and more comfortable. This morning he took a relaxing stroll
around the yard before settling into his favorite spot in the plat structure.
He had a great walk, and didn’t let the big puddles get in his way, leaping
over all of them. This afternoon he was so excited to get out for some time in
the sun. He hung out with his new friend Sophie G. and they walked around the
yard together and munched on some grass. Then he went back inside the play
structure and was being so funny, giving his back a little scratch against the
side. He is so cute and would peek out at me when I called his name. He really
loves it in there and didn’t even want to come back inside, but with a bit of
encouragement he trotted over to the door and waited there with his tail
wagging.
Gracie is so
sweet, always waiting nicely for me to open the door and was being so good with
all the other dogs today. She went for a walk this morning with Isis the husky,
and even though Isis was bouncing all over the place, Gracie trotted along nice
and calm. Her ears were perked right up, listening to all different sounds in
the field, and as we walked along the tips of them bounced up and down like
little springs, it was so cute! This afternoon during playtime outside she
brought such a good energy to the group, being sweet and calm the whole time.
Gracie waited patiently for all the other dogs to get some attention before
trotting over looking for a scratch behind the ear. She was also being quite
the explorer this afternoon, and whenever I turned around she was somewhere
else in the yard. Checking out something new and jumping on all the wooden
platforms. She has been such a good dog and is a really sweet girl!
