Well all the pups seem to be happy that the snow is finally on the ground! Everyone was super energetic and was involved in the play time fun in some way. First it was Finnegan who got Emma chasing after him for a while. The two of them wrestled and then it was time for Coco and her sidekick Timbits to join in on the fun. The two of them make quite a good team when they aren't busy wrestling each other. Timbits wanted to check out the tunnel and found it quite fun! It serves as a nice little "safety" spot when you're running away from your pursuers! After hiding away in there for a little while, Timbits decided to move on to locate his buddies. Finnegan then saw the tunnel was unoccupied and so he snuck one of the toys from the yard that he had snagged away from Coco into the tunnel. While this was going on, Gatsby was trying to get first Darby, then Iris to chase him. When neither one of the ladies wanted to grant him his request, he then wanted to see if perhaps Holly would be interested but unfortunately for Gatsby, there was no chasing energy for Holly. Perhaps she is conserving her energy for the long winter ahead! In her nice fleecy red jacket she was all bundled up for the frosty weather today and was keen to just hang alongside her sister Iris near the front of the yard. Tinkerbell was happy to just sniff around for a bit and then just wanted all my attention. Hopping up on my legs and staring at me with those adorable eyes of hers, it was impossible to not cave, so she and I snuggled for a bit :). She and Emma kept each other company for a little while, sniffing around the yard's perimeter together and then went their separate ways.

While Teddy was busy getting puuuurty in the groom room with Alex, Kizmet was happy to spend time outside in the fresh, frosty air. He enjoys simply sniffing around the yard and the rocks to smell for anything interesting. Inside he loves nothing more than to snuggle up with his Teddy Bear brother and fall asleep. He likes to keep to himself when his brother isn't around but did occasionally pop in on me for some pets and as well, checked out his fellow group pals. George and Titan were both lucky in the yard today, as each of them both found a nice toy to play with for themselves. They are going to be expert treasure finders by the time they leave! Apollo found a nice green ball that he and I kicked around for a little bit and then he proceeded to chew the ball to smithereens! He initially found a nice rope toy for himself but I guess he decided it was too good of a toy to share so he hid it for himself, somewhere secret in the yard. Finnley was on yard guarding duty this afternoon. He spent his time patrolling the yard perimeter, checking all the fences to make sure there was no danger around. Occasionally he would check in with the other pups to see what they were up to but then would return to his guarding posts.

Lots of energy in this group today! Silver and Max hit it off right away and were dancing around with each other. The dancing then of course turned into a friendly wrestling match that was so intriguing to watch, almost all the other pups joined in as well. Zeus threw himself right into the mix and was having a great time showing Max his wrestling skills. Then after taking a short break, Silver hopped back in on the fun. Everyone then changed yards so that we could find Sophie and Charlotte who were happily wandering around the yard together. Sophie isn't one for wrestling and I think her sister has gotten this trait from her too. The two of them decided to stay out of the wrestling zone so that they could watch the matches from the sidelines. They're very lady-like :). Silver also made good friends with a lad named Wyatt. When he wasn't busy playing with Max, Silver found good company in Wyatt. Zeus was nice enough to find a ball for Charlotte who was standing at one of the gate doors. He found a blue ball and brought it over to her to drop at her feet. When she didn't seem interested, he decided to just leave it there for her in case she had a change of heart. He's quite the gentleman!

Jasmine and Madison had a nice first day here and Tails & Trails. The pair enjoyed a walk on the trail this morning where they took their time sniffing about, checking out any changes from the last time they were in. They then hung out with their group in the yard. Madison was raring to get a game of chase going but couldn't find anyone to quite match her energy level. Luckily, she is always happy to bounce around with her sister Jasmine. Jasmine was quite happy to be with her sister but was also feeling great about the weather. She would stick her sniffer up in the air and breathe in the fresh wintery breeze. Hershey took some coercing to get outside but once she was out, boy was she happy! She introduced herself to each of the pups and really got to know her way around the yard. She went from one end to the next, sniffing around and discovering all the interesting nooks and crannies in the yard. Bella got to know Madison a bit and the two of them engaged in a bit of dancing together. After that though, Bella just wanted to be an independant lady so that she could sniff around the yard by herself. Fergus is such a sweet, gentle guy! He was trying to get the pups playing a bit and found a good friend in Madison but it was his first day back so he had to check things out for himself first. Oakley as always is one of my favourite parts about Wednesdays. The way she runs over to me when I step out into the yard and then is literally glued to my side almost the whole time just melts my heart. I love to rub her ears for her and give her neck scratches and she in turn gazes at me with those sweet eyes of hers. I could snuggle with her for hours!

CATS
Sassy is queen of her kennel. She sits snuggly upon her kitty throne to keep warm and peers out into the mid day sun. Her gorgeous saphire blue eyes pierce yours when you go in to visit with her and she is very much the strong, silent type. She enjoys her alone time and doesn't need anything but her bed, food and some pets to keep her happy :).

Allie was happily napping when I went into the cat room this afternoon. I guess after being out and about this morning she decided she would take a break to rest upon her kitty cushion and catch some rays through the cat room window.
