Cats
Sassy was super happy to see me when I walked in to say hello to the cats today. She pranced out of her kennel and began rubbing her head on my hands and the chair. Whenever I paused petting her for even a second she would nuzzle my fingers until I resumed cuddling her. Once she was satisfied with the attention, she jumped up in the window to watch the outside world. Daisy was also looking forward to some attention, although she decided that her perch was much too comfortable to sacrifice for some cuddles, so she just curled up in her kennel and waited for me to bring the attention to her. When I started petting her, she immediately began purring and nuzzling my hand. Kafka is still a bit shy and decided she would be more comfortable in her kennel, so she cuddled up in the corner while I pet her. She took a bit to get used to me but soon she was quite happy being pet. I showed her a feather toy in hopes that she would play with it, though instead she just sniffed it and batted at it once with her paw before curling up again for a nap.

Groups
Silver had a blast playing with his friends today. He teamed up with his buddies Rex and Madison for groups, and together the three of them ruled the yard. Silver was all over the place - I don't think his legs stopped moving once! - and the other two were right on his heels. He's very light on his feet, which made it a challenge for the rest of the dogs to keep up. Once they had used up most of their energy running laps around the yard, Silver decided that the fun wasn't quite over and he raced to Rex's side, play-bowing and asking to play. Rex jumped right up and the boys wrestled for the rest of outdoor time.

Rex started his day with a very fast-paced walk with his two friends, Fitz and Zeus. All three of them happily trotted along next to each other, their noses to the ground and their tails flying. Once it was time for groups, Rex parted ways with his buddies and went to meet some new dogs. He made a new best friend, Silver! Both of them are very energetic and playful, so they made a great match. Rex chased his buddy around the yard and whenever he managed to catch up, he would pounce on Silver and then take off again. This caught the attention of Madison, who soon joined in.

Millie partnered up with Charlotte today for playtime. At first Charlotte seemed a bit surprised when Millie came flying out the door and immediately raced to her side, wiggling around and bouncing at Charlotte's feet. Then the two girls took one look at each other and bolted across the yard. They ran around the rocks, tunnel and holes, all the while wrestling with each other every chance they got. Needless to say, Millie was quite tired once she got inside, happily giving Charlotte a lick on the nose before darting up to the playroom for more fun.

Sophie and Charlotte went their separate ways for group time, although they made sure to check up on each other whenever they could. Sophie decided to keep things quiet and was my shadow as I walked around taking pictures and throwing toys. She is such a sweet girl! She would sit on my feet and nuzzle my hand, demanding attention, which she quickly got. Who could refuse a face like that! While Sophie was busy cuddling with me, Charlotte had made herself some new best friends. She and her buddy Millie were racing all over the place and wrestling non-stop with each other. Both of the girls had so much fun and they were super out of breath once it was time for indoor play. They raced each other up to the playroom with Sophie following a bit slower, all tails wagging.

Madison had so much fun playing with Silver and Rex today. The three of them wrestled and chased each other around the yard, barely pausing for a breather. She was determined to make sure that everybody had fun. Whenever either of the boys paused, Madison would dart to their side and dance around them until they continued playing. She never stops moving! Jasmine decided to take things a bit slower, and after running around with her sister for a few minutes, she wandered over to me to say hello and get some attention. Once Jasmine was satisfied with the cuddles, she bounded over to her buddy Sophie and the girls explored the yard together.

Gatsby was so happy when he raced into the yard and stumbled upon a nice red Kong. He pranced around with the toy and showed it off to all his friends, before darting to my side, dropping it at my feet and bouncing around to get my attention. We played fetch for a while and Gatsby practiced sitting patiently while I held the toy. He was just so excited that it was hard to sit still! His friend Mac noticed us playing and decided to join in. Gatsby was very happy to have a friend to play with! They turned the game into a challenge and had a lot of fun chasing each other around while they raced for the toy.

Emma was the great adventurer of the day. She sniffed every blade of grass that she possibly could, and still made time for playing once she was done. Once everything had been thoroughly inspected, Emma raced over to where Finnigan and Mac were playing and started running around with them. Occasionally she would pause for a break, which was filled with even more sniffing and plenty of cuddles from me. She is such a well-behaved girl and poses beautifully for the camera!

Coco and Timbits are such cuties! They decided to stick together for groups, and Coco was determined that Timbits would get his fair share of exercise. She pounced on him, poked him, and then raced to the opposite side of the yard with Timbits close on her heels. The little guy is still in that clumsy puppy stage and was tumbling all over the place with Coco and his new friends, Mac and Mojo. At one point, Timbits tripped into a hole and Mojo quickly ran over to see if his friend was okay. Timbits waited until Coco and Mojo were right at the edges of the hole before leaping up and surprising his friends. This started a whole new game of chase, this time including Mac, who was the perfect size to wrestle with Timbits. Coco decided to take a break and wandered over to me for some attention.

Zeus is such a well-behaved boy! He had a great walk this morning with Fitz and Rex; he was at the head of the crowd while they marched along. During groups, he and his friend Whisper decided to explore together. They circled the yard a few times to make sure they had sniffed everything, before coming to say hi to me. Zeus loves, loves, loves cuddles and backrubs. He was dancing around while I was scratching his back, I must have found the right spot! Then he and Whisper moved onto the next yard, where Zeus discovered a bone. He got super excited when I picked it up and darted after it when I threw it, although he seemed a bit confused by the concept of bringing it back. Silly boy!

Cooper decided that today was a nice day for an adventure. After saying hello to his group and making sure that everyone had been properly greeted, Cooper stopped by to see me for some attention. He sat down on my feet and stayed there for a while, well I was petting him. Then he wandered over to the far side of the yard and explored the fence with his friends Zeus and Whisper. I went over to see what he was up to and immediately he nuzzled his head against my legs, demanding cuddles, and starting licking my hand. Cooper is a complete lovebug!

Finnley had a great walk this morning with his look-a-like, Fergus. They walked side by side the entire way with their noses up, sniffing the air. Once it was time for groups, the boys immediately said hello to each other. Then Finnley wandered over to Dragon, Gryphon and Samantha, who were busy investigating a scent in the yard. He decided to help them out and sniffed around the yard with them for a while. Then he noticed me taking his picture and happily trotted over to say hi. He must have thought that I was hiding treats in my pockets, because he kept poking at my coat and giving me suspicious looks. Unfortunately there were no goodies in my pockets. Finnley settled on a nice bone instead.

Fergus made two new friends today, Cabot and Tupper. The two of them were busy playing fetch when Fergus noticed and decided to join in. I think he was more interested in the dogs than the toy, because he would chase after them and instead of going after the toy, he would poke Tupper in the side and dance away, before darting back to his friends. They were to engrossed in their game of fetch to notice Fergus's attempts to play, although Fergus was completely content to just run after them.

Fitz and Fez decided to partner up for group time today. Both of them had decided they were going to take things slow today and stay relaxed, so they wandered around the yard together. Their other group members were busying playing fetch and Fez decided to watch the show, while Fitz came over to me for some cuddles. When the boys returned to each other, Fitz play-bowed and tried to convince Fez to play. Fez gently told his buddy that he would rather just sniff around, so the boys continued their exploration. Both of them made sure to visit me often for attention and back rubs.
